Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

In an attempt to keep up with all of my social media sites/ galleries/ and just places I visit or would like to on the web more often I have decided to designate a day in which I post. Today just happens to be that day.

Every Thursday I am going to try to be more interactive and more post friendly here at Deviant art. I'll be doing my Journal entries and accompanying them with art posts. So please comment on the art as well as here in the journal.

I will be doing some weekly art pieces for fun so if there are any suggestions on things you'd love to see me draw please make a list for me to cycle through!

Also I am trying to get more viewers over to my YouTube channel [link] In order to do this I am asking around to see what you guys would be interested in me broadcasting! Let's hear your ideas for me on what you'd like to see demonstrated to you guys!

I have been doing artcasts myself now. i mostly stream for fun but I am on two sketchcard series and doing the 30 day challenge. :-x

Great to see you back. I'm looking forward to some future artcasts. As for suggestions, Spider-man, Gambit/Rogue (for Annie), Avengers, Transformers, Speed Racer, Indiana Jones, Batman, Dr. Who, the Rocketeer, and of course, anything Star Wars.

I'll keep them all on a master go to list if I'm in a funk. Then I'll just draw from the pool! Artcasts are gonna be overhauled and more scheduled. I have to work out the system and format before I just jump right back in. I might just do some 10 for 20's or something just to get back in the swing of casting.
